In September, Bladr opens its shelves and surfaces to an exhibition where books do more than hold words—they listen, speak, and resonate. Artists’ Books for Listening, curated by Bureau for Listening, gathers a constellation of artists’ books that embody, activate, and invite listening as a practice.

Here, the book is not passive. Some unfold as scores that propose ways of listening. Others are sculptural objects, vibrating with silent gestures and imagined sounds. Some carry traces of performances, while others are delicate designs—books that hold the weight of breath, fragments of voice, or the residue of movement. Together, they form an exhibition that treats the book as an instrument, an invitation, and a site for attention.

This edition of Artists’ Books for Listening transforms Bladr into a listening environment—part exhibition, part library, part reading room—where visitors are invited to slow down, tune in, and experience books beyond their surfaces. To open a book here might mean unfolding a score, encountering a script that guides your gestures, or stepping into a quiet choreography of page and ear.

Exhibition is composed by the artists’ books on listening include in the Library for Listening. The books here comes from around the world, and is either donated by kind artists, or brought by the little fonds available to Bureau for Listening. We thank everyone making this collection possible.

The exhibition will include works by, but not limited to:
