PUBLICATIONS FOR LISTENING
What does the practice of publishing become, when applied and nurtured for sharing and investigating listening? How can publications care for and share, investigate and enable listening?
We will attempt as a bureau to develop and publish different publications for, on and as listening. These publications will be gathered here as a possible archive. Some of the publications will be published as ‘traditional’ printed matter, some online, some as live versions, and some as unique zines passed on between caretakers, others as works of art, as artists’ books – and others in yet unknown formats.
We strive for a soft and sensitive listening publication practice; one where printed matter is inviting touch and attention, experimenting with distribution and offering moments of pause and reflection.
A series of 20 zines were sampled as a documentation practice for the exhibition: 'A Living Room as a White Cube for Listening'.
