A Living Room as a White Cube for Listening
For a period of two and a half month – April to mid June – will Bureau for Listening transform a private intimate living room, 3,5 x 4 meters, into a ‘white cube for listening’.
The living room will become an exhibition room, an art work in itself, and most importantly a place for listening. We will invite different artists to show and present their works during the period of the exhibition, which will executed in different involving phases (see the phases to the right).
‘A Living Room as a White Cube for Listening’ is accessible on the opening of planned events or by appointment – contact bureauforlistening@gmail.com or +45 40 20 20 07. We hope to be able to facilitate listening at any time necessary during the project period.

A Library as Archive for ‘A Living Room as a White Cube for Listening’
‘The Living Room as a White Cube for Listening’, or the room itself, do perhaps contain a conflict. The conflict lies within the intimacy and privacy of the actual living room, the fact that it is a private home, and the feeling of intent and programming of the white cube as a designed space for a controlled focus on whatever… in our case the artworks and the act of listening. We hope that within this possible conflict exist an experience and a kind wisdom worth sharing and exploring.
The documentation of the project will be out online as we proceed in the attempt to generate a digital dimension for the fases.
